Such a fabulously expensive Volvo is sold in the US state of New York. We tell you what is special about this car.
By itself, this station wagon of the Swedish brand Volvo, of course, is not worth such money. But its registration plate can add a few zeros to the final amount.
Its uniqueness is that it exists in only one copy. However, this does not prevent him from being famous in different parts of the world. According to the portal Autoevolution.com, this license plate with the inscription New York was issued by the father of the owner of the Volvo put up for sale. It was in the late 1970s.
Along the bottom edge of the plaque is the slogan “Empire State” – a reference to one of the skyscrapers in Manhattan. This plaque is considered an important historical relic – hence the station wagon’s $ 20 million price tag.
This combination is even found on local souvenirs. It turns out that not so much the car itself is sold as its history.
