The plant of the American company Tesla, located in China, from the beginning of this year to September inclusive, should assemble 300 thousand units of electric cars.

Tesla Inc, based in Shanghai, is slated to produce 300,000 vehicles in 9 months of this year, despite a global shortage of semiconductors.

This plant assembles Model 3 electric sedans and Model Y crossovers for the domestic as well as international markets, including Germany and Japan. According to the China Passenger Car Association, in the first 8 months, approximately 240,000 electric vehicles were shipped from Tesla, including many for export.
