A more powerful version of crossover Hyundai N Kona spotted on the tests

Journalists captured high-performance version of the South Korean crossover Hyundai Kona. A test prototype of the product has got red brake calipers and a different design of false radiator grille. Kona Hyundai N will debut this summer.

New spy shots show a heavily disguised Hyundai Kona, which rides on the nürburgring. A more aggressive exterior of the car indicates that we have before us can be nothing more powerful N-version of the crossover or, at least, the performance of N-Line which will only get aggressive bodykit, and not technical changes.

Hyundai engineers cover the body Kona camouflage wrap, black lining and special panels, to be possible to hide from prying eyes exterior news.

But still we can see another drawing of a grid on the false radiator grille and the grille in the lower part of the front bumper. The latter has an enlarged hole for air intake than on the existing crossover. For patiserie wheels visible red brake calipers. Lifting height of the suspension is also slightly lower. In the back there are two massive outlets, which are comical for a small crossover. The camouflage on the roof hints at the fact that there is a larger spoiler.

Mechanically, N Kona, as reported, will have a lot in common with the high-performance i30 N. This will give the crossover’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 247 and 271 HP Novick will be available with all-wheel drive layout, and with a drive only the front wheels, six-speed manual gearbox or a transmission with double clutch.
