The German studio ABT Sportsline works with various brands of the Volkswagen concern (more often with Audi). Separate brand Cupra is also included in the sphere of interests of specialists from Kempten. And this interest only intensified with the arrival of the ABT-Cupra bundle in motorsport. This time, ABT has presented improvements for the Cupra Leon family, including engine boost, suspension lowering and new rims.
The original pair uses a 2.0 TSI engine with 300 hp. (hatchback) and 310 hp. (station wagon) with the same maximum torque of 400 Nm. It is complemented by a seven-speed “robot”. The station wagon is all-wheel drive, so it is noticeably more dynamic – 4.9 seconds to a hundred versus 5.7 for a hot hatch.
ABT springs have reduced ground clearance by 30 mm (on each axle). The look of the pair has also been transformed by the 20-inch ABT Sport GR wheels in black (matt or glossy to choose from).
The ABT Power recoil package, developed for Leon, increases the power of the hot hatch from 300 to 360 forces, and of the station wagon from 310 to 370. The torque of the 2.0 turbo four increases from 400 to 450 Nm. Atelier ABT Sportsline offers boost, wheels and lowered suspension in one package for € 5,990 excluding installation costs.
