Acura showed a concept of Type S last year in August.
According to information provided by Acura, the design concept and Type S includes what is called “Precision and performance”. It all begins with outstanding Diamond Pentagon front grille surrounded by led headlights with Jewel Eye daytime running lights Chicane – the latter inspired a prototype ARX-05 Daytona.
Other design features include a massive front bumper and splitter from carbon fiber, which covers the edges, side skirts from carbon fiber, muscular rear fenders, a dynamic roof line, 21-inch alloy wheels with Brembo brakes, spoiler and diffuser in carbon fibre.
Technically, this car has a Fastback design similar to the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe, so to call it a sedan is not quite right. However, if the sedans you want to survive in the distant future, they will have to adapt and become either more practical, more dynamic-looking.
Although the Japanese automaker didn’t tell what motor is under the hood of the concept Type S, he had previously stated that high-performance unit V6 turbo was developed specifically for the brand Type S.
