Tesla hosted the GigaFest in Berlin in honor of the imminent opening of the company’s first European plant, the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. At the event, Elon Musk said that soon the American brand will present its own beer.
A beer called Gigabier will receive an unusual bottle, apparently inspired by the design of the Cybertruck pickup truck. Musk spoke about several features of the European Gigafactory, which will create jobs for 10 thousand people.
The walls of the building will be covered with graffiti, and a train station will be built on the territory to make it easier for workers to get there. Gigabier beer in a faceted bottle, reminiscent of the Cybertruck, which has not yet been launched in the series, will be produced directly at the factory. True, it is not known whether Tesla is going to open a full-fledged brewery, or whether it will simply bottle the drink purchased from a third-party manufacturer.
It’s worth noting that back in 2018, Musk posted a tweet in which he filed for bankruptcy, followed by a photo of the Tesla CEO with tear marks on his cheeks, surrounded by bottles of branded tequila.
The bankruptcy filing turned out to be an April Fool’s joke, but Tesla’s tequila actually went on sale two and a half years later. Then Tesla decided not to engage in the production of the drink on its own and turned to professionals from the Californian company Nosotros Tequila.
Tesla Tequila was sold out in a few hours, despite the rather big price – $ 250 per bottle.
