Again, “Zelka”? Mercedes-Benz can replace the C coupe and E-class new model

On the background of the ambiguous situation in the global automotive market, the company once announced its intention to “simplify” its model line (and therefore reduce production costs) – that is, to cancel a number of niche vehicles with a small audience of those models, which are based on individual platforms.

However, recent data about Mercedes-Benz with this strategy is not very tally. The Italian edition of Autoblog.it claims that in 2023 the company plans to bring to market a completely new model with an index of CLE. It is expected that it will occupy the middle position between the current “chetyrehdverny coupe” CLA and CLS.

Moreover, over time, CLA is going to increase the range of bodies at the expense of the universal (apparently, another shuting-break), coupe and even convertible. Thus, the novelty will replace the current coupe and cabriolet C – and E-class (the latter recently survived planned restyling). According to rumors, the Mercedes-Benz CLE will come with both rear and all-wheel drive, and engine range will be “mild hybrids” on the basis of two-liter “turboservice”.

A family of C-class should change the generation in the current year, and photospin we know that tests have already been withdrawn as a sedan, and wagon. The presence in the model lineup of two comparable in size, station wagon, especially a logical solution doesn’t look. But on the other hand, it is possible that the five-door body supposedly the new C-class tested the first prototypes of future trends.
