Chinese company Wuling has entered into an agreement with Internet giant Alibaba, under which it will begin mass production of a super-compact electric car with a length of only 2.6 meters.
The novelty will be based on the Baojun KiWi EV model, which, in turn, is the development of the Baojun E300 car. It is stated that the future electric car will be able to travel up to 300 km on a single charge, but the new product has not yet received a name.
Another partner of the project will be the local drone company DJI. There is no information about her role in this project yet, but the description notes that the model is “powered by” DJI. But it is unlikely that the electric vehicle will have a power unit from a drone, although it is possible that DJI engineers will be responsible for its development.
The characteristics of the future model can only be judged by the donor electric car Baojun KiWi EV. So, the overall dimensions of the car are 2625x; 1647x; 1588 mm, and the wheelbase is 1750 mm. The KiWi EV is powered by a 40 kW electric motor with a maximum torque of 150 Nm. The battery with a capacity of 31 kWh makes it possible to travel up to 305 km on one charge.
