Toyota has announced a new generation of the Tundra full-size frame pickup truck. The presentation of the novelty will take place in the coming weeks, but the exact date of the premiere has not yet been disclosed.
The Japanese automaker has circulated photos and videos showing a new-generation pickup full-face with the headlights on. You can note the embossed hood and the complex configuration of the DRL. The new Tundra is expected to have a brutal look.
There is no official data on the technical “stuffing”, if you believe the rumors, the pickup will be built on a new frame platform F1, in which engineers will provide ample opportunities for electrification. At the same time, as the portal speedme.ru notes, in the basic version the car will lose the legendary 5.7-liter V8 engine, in its place will be a twin-turbo V6. However, it is unclear at this time whether this powerplant will be purely hybrid or whether Toyota will offer such a version as an option.
Recall that the Toyota Tundra pickup is one of the longest-lived models on the US market: the current generation of the car went on sale 14 years ago, in 2007. The Tundra is a full-size pickup truck that competes with the best-selling American market Ford F-Series, RAM 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado.
