The updated car will go on sale in Europe this summer.
Today it became known the first details about the new generation of Honda Jazz, the start of sales in Europe scheduled for the summer of this year. In Japan the car will be sold under the name Fit, and it can be purchased in February. Appearance of a hatchback for Japan and Europe will be the same, but the technical equipment varies considerably. The main difference is observed in the engine range. On the home market the model is available both with the classic DVS and hybrid powertrain, but European buyers will be able to purchase only hybrid version.
Version with classic combustion engines for Japan is equipped with a 1.3 liter engine, a hybrid made on the basis of the 1.5-liter engine, which works together with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.
Hybrid propulsion system for Japan and Europe will be identical. Prices on the European market will be announced closer to the start of sales, but Japanese buyers already know what amount will have to pay for the new generation car. The starting package costs 1 488 100 yen ($13 600). The budget version with a hybrid engine is already 1 926 100 yen ($17 700).
