The Czech brand continues the wraps off the fourth generation Octavia. And “help” her in this ubiquitous photospin. A full presentation of the model will be held next week.
The appearance of the new Octavia, the Czechs opened in mid-October, extending a few sketches of the liftback. At the end of the same month, more details emerged about the technique. Now came the turn of the cabin. Skoda itself is limited again only two branded images, but at the same time on Twitter a fan club stamps – SkodaNews – published “live” pictures of the interior, made, apparently, on the Assembly line.
So, inside “multi-level” front panel, which, according to Skoda, its form repeats a new grille. The wheel now dvuhsvetny, Central air vents moved lower, directly at them is a row of buttons in the thumbnails they look like touch-sensitive, but thanks to spy photos, we know that this is a common “keys”. By the way, after “eighth” VW Golf, the new Octavia has lost the traditional lever “machine”, instead of a small joystick (and Golf and the Octavia DSG has no mechanical connection to the box).
The multimedia system screen in the form of separate tablet, it slightly rises above the bar. The expensive models diagonal touch screen – 10 inches, whereas in the previous Octavia, the display can be a maximum of 9.2 inches. Like its predecessor, the fourth generation model will be available with virtual “tidy”. New Skoda Octavia also stated projection screen, tri-zone automatic climate control, front seats with massage function and ventilation and a host of electronic assistants.
To Europeans the model of the fourth generation will be offered with petrol “Turbotronic” 1.0 TSI (110 HP), “turbochetverkami” 1.5 TSI (150 HP) and 2.0 TSI (190 BHP) and a turbodiesel 2.0 TDI (115, 150 or 200 HP). In addition, in the Old world, the Octavia will be gas modification, a “mild” hybrid version with a 48-volt starter-generator and two full hybrid with the ability to recharge from the mains.
World premiere of the new Skoda Octavia will be held in Prague on 11 November.
