Aston Martin and British Airways will release 10 special supercars DBS Superleggera, which has devoted half a century anniversary of the famous airliner.
Aston Martin released a special version of the supercar, dedicated to the supersonic passenger plane Concorde. The car was developed together with British Airways, which along with Air France was the operator of the famous liner.
The release of a special version of the supercar was timed to the 50th anniversary since the beginning of operation “Concord”, which took its first flight in March 1969. An order for a special series of cars came from a dealer centre in the English city of Bristol – the city which produced the aircraft.
Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde got the roof carbon fiber with graphics in the form of a liner, a special white livery in the style of British Airways and the Speedmarque logo on the front fenders.
Inside, there are logos with the title sparsely, sun visors with a picture of the dial machmeter, and the ceiling was decorated with a logo a shot of overcoming the supersonic barrier. Paddle shifters shifter made of titanium, obtained from recycled turbine blades of the present “Concord”.
The technical component of the supercar has not been changed. Aston Martin 007 DBS Superleggera features a 5.2-liter V12 engine with two turbines, developing 725 HP and 900 N·m of torque. The engine is paired with eight-speed automatic ZF gearbox. Supercar able to gain first “hundred” for 3,4 with, and its maximum speed is 340 km per hour.
Results will be issued 10 copies of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde. Part of the funds will be credited to the account of the nonprofit organization, which teaches flight training of children from low-income families.
