The British brand was brought to the Goodwood Festival of Speed six sports car new limited edition line of Racing Heritage Edition in honor of past victories in the race.
In 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed is marked by Aston Martin. The brand celebrates the 60th anniversary of his double in “the 24 hours of Le Mans” and the 70th anniversary of racing at Goodwood Motor Circuit. In this case, the Q by Aston Martin made a special performance coupe Vantage.
All will be done 60 cars, available in 6 exclusive design options – each refers to a historic sports car racing. The equipment of all cars includes a new carbon fiber aerodynamic kit (+194 kilograms of downforce at speed 306 km/h), lightweight wheels and carbon interior trim.
A source of inspiration for the design of the machines was the model of Razor Blade in 1928, pre-war Ulster, cult DB3S, the prototype of the early 90s AMR1, the DBR9, victorious the mid-2000s and a modern Vantage GTE factory team in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
All new products exhibited on the stand of Aston Martin at Goodwood, and the center Goodwood Festival of Speed was a 30-meter sculpture, symbolizing “victory in Le Mans Aston Martin DBR1 racing across the sky in an endless race track”.
