A German company supposedly is going to show the world their answer to the BMW X4 this autumn.
Craze of different-sized crossovers seem to be ‘infected’ and the management of the company Audi, which until now was not particularly anxious to follow the global trends (of course, except the creation of the Audi Sportback Audi Q3 or Q8). The next step in the fight against competitors, filling all the terrain segments of the market, can develop a coupe version of the Q5 crossover.
Edition Autozeitung.de argues that the development of new cross-coupe is in full swing, and it will be presented along with a restyled version of the traditional Q5. To compete with the new intended name for the Q5 TDI will have, as you can guess, with the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
Apparently, the engine range the crossover coupe will borrow from the standard Q5. However, the publication States that Audi is seriously considering the release of “heated” versions of SQ5 TDI – a possible alternative to, say, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43.
The debut of both new supposedly planned for this autumn, and in the European market crossovers should appear next spring. Indirect evidence of this chart may be the abundance of spy photos of prototypes of the updated Audi Q5, which in the set appeared last winter.
