At the auto show in Guangzhou on Monday, November 23, the premiere of the Audi A3L long-wheelbase sedan for China took place. For the first time, a German company started to stretch this model.
Thus, the distance between the axles increased by 44 mm (to 2680 mm), and the length increased by 53 mm (to 4548 mm). This increase is sufficient for a more comfortable landing on the second row, but the distance to the Audi A4 sedan (4738 mm in the basic version and 4851 mm in the long-wheelbase) is in any case large. In terms of interior design, the L-sedan repeats the global variation, but it will receive fewer options.
In addition to the long sedan, the standard 5-door Audi A3 Sportback will also be produced in China. Both models have a 150 HP 1.4 liter TFSI turbo engine, a 7-speed S tronic robotic transmission, a front-wheel drive system and semi-independent rear suspension. Local dealers will receive the Troika produced by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture in January next year.
