The new generation WRX sedan from the Subaru brand, which was supposed to be shown at the New York Auto Show on August 19, will be unveiled on September 10. Reportedly, the postponement was due to the cancellation of the international motor show due to the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.
Fresh images of the new generation WRX show the car’s closeness to the rally theme. At the same time, the brand itself has not participated in the rally for more than 10 years. The model is expected to be one of the automaker’s last rally cars to be released for public use.
The appearance of the car will not differ much from the current Subaru WRX model. It is known that the new sedan will receive a 6-speed manual transmission. What power plant will be installed under the hood has not yet been reported. However, all indications are that the car will be equipped with a 2.4-liter petrol turbo engine with 300 hp, in the “charged” version of the STI engine output will be 400 hp.
