Italian firm Totem Automobili has unveiled the sequel to its GT Electric project, an electric sports car inspired by the classic 1960s Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT.
This time the retro car was equipped with a gasoline engine – a 2.9-liter V6 from the modern Giulia GTA sedan, the output of which can be increased to 620 hp. It is noted that the 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 on the production model Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA develops approximately 530 hp. Totem specialists are ready to increase the performance of the motor by special order.
The vintage Totem GT Super coupe is based on the same aluminum chassis that was created for the electric sports car: the Italian company builds it almost entirely on its own. The GT Electric version will also borrow body panels for new items.
Acceptance of orders for the Totem GT Super sports car is already open, although the company said that the car shown in the pictures is still considered a concept car, and production cars will not be ready earlier than in a year. The cost of new items from Totem Automobili will start at 460 thousand euros.
