The publication Indy100.com shared the story of the parents of a 10-month-old baby who was left alone for a while with a smartphone. The baby managed to open the Telsa app and purchase paid upgrades for $ 10,837 and 50 cents. According to her mother, she noticed the card was debited only after a few days, and was unable to get a refund from Tesla: according to the company’s rules, a purchase can only be canceled within 48 hours.
The woman turned to the automaker with a request to add additional protection against accidental purchases to the application, for example, asking for a password when paying. The video, which she posted on Tik Tok, has received over 1.7 million views, and the majority of users supported her proposal. It was not without jokes: some suggested that the child simply wanted to make the Tesla electric car safer, others suggested deducting $ 10,000 from the amount set aside for his future training.
Another unsuccessful Tesla purchase happened last summer. Then, due to interruptions in the website of the American automaker, the man bought 27 copies of Model 3 instead of one. In the process of paying for the order, the site gave an error 26 times, and the electric car was paid only 27 times. Later, the buyer received a notice of purchase of 27 copies of Tesla Model 3 for a total of 1,404,000 euros. The next day, he managed to contact support and fix the error.
