Bentley spoke about the creation of the interior of the new Flying Spur and called it the most difficult in its history. Industry-first door panel of the car is decorated with insertions of three-dimensional texture of the skin and lining of the cabin takes more than three kilometers of thread.
In the manufacture of the interior of each Bentley Flying Spur third generation involved 141 people. They sew 350 pieces of leather three miles of thread and decorate them 60 unique parts. Moreover, Bentley uses only the skins of Nordic bulls. It is a waste of the meat industry, obtained in environmentally friendly industries. The selection of suppliers of climate zones with more temperate climates allows to the skin with fewer defects.
Customers can choose the interior color of the future car. They are available in 14 variants of the skin and 23 form a contrast stitching.
The wheel of the sedan, one of the most time-consuming elements of the vehicle, is done manually. Master thread more than five meters of thread through hole 352, in order to obtain 168 cross stitches. It takes about three and a half hours.
For the production we use a special needle, and the movement specialist so complex that they cannot be played back on any machine. The Assembly of all four seats takes 12 hours; embroidered brand on them “wings” consist of 5102 stitches.
However, the most unusual element of the interior of the new Flying Spur – pads on the doors of three-dimensional texture of the skin. The material developed within the company and inspired by the concept of interior design concept EXP 100 GT.
