Italian Touring Supperleggera shared the first image of the new machine – Berlinetta Aero. Judging by the teaser and description, this is a reinterpreted version of the coupe Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione with a design in the style of the 8C 2900 B Speciale Tipo Le Mans of the late 1930-ies.
The new Berlinetta refers directly to the historical models of Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Speciale Tipo Le Mans 1938, stored in the Museo Storica Alfa Romeo. Original car with a body of work Touring Supperleggera built for the “24 hours of Le Mans” in a single instance. In the race he showed the best lap time, and by 19 an hour were leading with a margin of 160 kilometers. However from-for burst tyres and several mechanical issues the team of Raymond Sommeri and Clemente Biondetti still had to go.

For comparison, the original 8C 2900 B Speciale Tipo Le Mans was powered by a 2.9 V8 produces 220 horsepower.
Among his latest works Touring Supperleggera – coupe and convertible Sciadipersi on the basis of the discontinued Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio respectively. The inspiration for both cars was the Maserati 5000GT Persian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
