The Chinese concern Great Wall Motor has introduced a new version of the mid-size crossover Big Dog (translated as “Big Dog”), which was named Dargo.
Dargo is an export version of the Big Dog crossover, which has been produced in China since 2020. The premiere of the car took place in Saudi Arabia, which will become one of the Dargo markets. Outside, the Haval Dargo differs from the purely Chinese version in the modified design of the front end: it uses its own panels of the hood and front fenders, a massive radiator grille made of black embossed plastic, and a bumper of a different shape. The wheel arch extenders have received an imitation of external bolt connections. Thus, Dargo looks a little more brutal than the original model.
In the salon, the difference from the Big Dog is only in the color accents. Dargo received a digital instrument panel measuring 10.25 “and a display of the media system measuring 12.3”.
The length, width and height of the Haval Dargo are 4620, 1890 and 1780 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2738 mm.
On the technical side, Dargo repeats Big Dog. Buyers will be offered petrol turbo engines of 1.5 and 2.0 liters, power – 169 or 211 horsepower, respectively. Transmission – robotic 7-speed with double clutch. The drive is full, in addition, a differential lock is provided.
