BMW continues to expand lineup, introducing brand new model – 8 Series Gran Coupe.
Previously, BMW has unveiled the 6 Series Gran Coupe, and now have decided to expand the line in the same body for 8 Series – new has a familiar front end, wide grille and adaptive headlights with laser optics.
Despite similar to the standard “eight” design, the Gran Coupe has less Steklo curved windshield and a higher roof. Of course, added two rear doors, a panoramic glass sunroof is standard, while M850i xDrive Gran Coupe will be offered with an optional roof made of carbon fiber.
Compared with the coupe new by 228 mm longer, 30 mm wider and 56 mm higher. The wheelbase has also been stretched by 200 mm, which provides more space in the cabin, especially for rear passengers, including the additional 86 mm height of the rear seat, and an extra 180 mm of space for legs and Luggage compartment volume increased by 20 liters.

It is logical that the Gran Coupe was equipped with a complex active safety systems – active cruise control, blind spot monitoring, traffic monitoring in-band, camera with all-round visibility, Parking assistant, rear warning cross traffic and a special speed limiter.
BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe will be offered with range of different engines, including a 3-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder with 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, paired with 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive system.
