BMW i4 M50 accidentally declassified ahead of debut

After a long development process and an equally lengthy advertising campaign, the BMW i4 was shown in production form in March this year. About a month later, during the Shanghai Auto Show 2021, the Bavarian company also unveiled the i4 M Sport. The brand is currently gearing up for the debut of the i4 M50, and we might have a look at the car.

The image you see here appeared on Instagram and was soon removed. However, Motor1 journalists quickly saved a snapshot, which most likely shows the new i4 M50 with a matte blue finish. As you can see, there is an M icon on the front panel, which comes with a number of visual improvements.

As noted in the BMW Blog, the electric sedan has some of the typical exterior elements of M Sport models, including a more aggressive front bumper with larger air vents and wider matte black side skirts. There is also a new set of diamond-cut multi-spoke wheels.

Overall, this car looks even more aggressive than the i4 M Sport unveiled in China last month. However, the technical specifications of the model were not disclosed, but we know that the more powerful i4 will have 523 hp. power, which is enough to sprint up to 100 km / h in about four seconds. In terms of range, the battery will provide enough energy for about 590 km between charges.
