Swedish journalists looked at the official photos of the production electric crossover BMW iX standing next to a silver Mercedes-Benz in the reflection on the front bumper.
The Swedish edition of Auto Motor und Sport found a silver Mercedes-Benz in the official photos of the production BMW iX: the car is reflected in the right side of the front bumper of the red electric crossover. The pictures were taken at a hydroelectric power plant that will supply the clean, renewable energy needed to produce the Bavarian i4 and iX electrically powered models. There are no other cars, except for the “Mercedes” in the reflection, in the photographs. Due to distortions, it is difficult to name the car model for sure – most likely, this is the C-Class of the W205 generation.
Probably, BMW did not notice the shine of the three-pointed star in the reflection on the bumper or simply did not attach any importance to it and refused to retouch the picture in the photo editor. In Europe, the start of sales of the electric crossover iX is scheduled for the end of this year. In Germany, an electric car in the xDrive40 version will cost from 77,300 euros, and in the iX xDrive50 version – from 98,000 euros.
