BMW does not modernize electric hatchback i3: model will continue to produce in the form in which it first rolled off the Assembly line six years ago. In an interview with the Financial Times said the head of sales and marketing BMW Peter Note. He explained that this decision was made because of the growing demand for electric vehicles.
“No concrete plans for the successor to the i3, no, – said Notes. – For the sixth year sales i3 shows itself well in the market: in the first half of this year demand has increased by 21 percent compared to the same period last year, and in August 2019, the increase amounted to 30 percent.”
Since the introduction of the model worldwide has sold over 150 thousand copies of the i3.
“That’s why electric hatchback in its current form will be sold for a few years”, – concluded Notes.
The BMW i3 is presented on the Ukrainian market. Electric car is equipped with batteries with a capacity of 42.2 per kilowatt-hour, which provide a power reserve of up to 285-310 miles on the WLTP cycle.
