BMW has launched a 50-piece limited edition X7 crossover series called UAE 50th Year Edition to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market. These cars are painted exclusively in white and are offered in the X7 xDrive40i and X7 M50i versions with a three-liter inline-six or a V8 4.4 with 530 horsepower. The special version is dedicated to the half-century anniversary of the UAE’s independence.
In 1971, the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain formed a federation called the United Arab Emirates. A year later, Ras al-Khaimah joined them. In honor of the half-century anniversary of the UAE as an independent state, BMW and the official importers of the AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors brands have introduced a special version of the X7 UAE 50th Year Edition crossover to the local market.
The circulation of the off-road vehicle is limited to 50 copies. Cars can only be painted in Frozen Brilliant White metallic, as this shade is most often found in the “cultural motives of the country”. The interior is finished in BMW Individual Merino two-tone leather: Ivory White and Night Blue. The dashboard on the passenger side is adorned with a hand-applied Arabic lettering that translates as “UAE 50 years, 1 of 50”. The scent in the salon is created by Amberblack Suite No.2 with agarwood oil.
The UAE 50th Year Edition is combined with two modifications of the BMW X7: X7 xDrive40i and X7 M50i. Under the hood, the first is a 3.0 six-cylinder gasoline engine, developing 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The crossover with the M50i nameplate is a V8 4.4 with 530 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Both engines are combined with an eight-speed automatic. The drive is full. You can order cars only online.
