Tuning company Brabus has formed invicto’s division, which will develop vulenerability car. First of all, experts of the new sub-brand tested the armor of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Armored model G-Class corresponds to a standard VR6 Plus. This indicates the ability of cars to withstand shots from a Kalashnikov bullets with hardened core, with distances up to 10 m.
As emphasized in the firm, they have managed to create a protective system, that is, as indicators of the original armor. Attachment of all parts is carried out using seamless method, and to the joints superimposed several layers.
The mass of the armor set is approximately a ton. To withstand SUV loads, tuning Studio has made the frame reinforcement, the front and rear suspension, and they have equipped the car with improved springs and a more powerful braking system.
The new model will be offered in two versions: off-road Mission and chic Luxury. The first has additional lighting on the roof and a winch, and the second is based on its own variations of “BRABUS”, which has a 4-cylinder biturbomotor V8 performance 800 HP
Production of these SUVs will be carried out in small batches, probably under the order. The novelty will begin releasing in the first half of this year, but at present the cost of the armored G-Class is unknown.
