Brabus humbled with the new S-Class

Since last autumn, Mercedes has received over 50 thousand orders for the Mercedes S-class W223 series, and sales of the model in the first quarter of 2021 increased by 17% compared to the same period last year. Soon we will see such sedans on a regular basis, and therefore it’s time for owners to think about personalization options. Brabus has just finished a revision program. True, everything is modest, not in the spirit of the specialists from Bottrop. The sedan has got a different front bumper with a splitter and larger air intakes, a diffuser in the rear bumper and monumental wheels in the style of Maybach models.

For the S-class with Airmatic air suspension, the tuning studio offers the Brabus Airmatic Sports Unit control module, with which the ground clearance is reduced by 25 mm.

The standard exhaust system can be supplemented with four tailpipes in several designs. The forged Monoblock M wheels are wrapped in 265/35 R21 tires at the front and 305/30 R21 at the rear. In general, for the S-class Brabus offers 13 types of wheels with a diameter of 19 to 21 inches.

You can start with installing metal pedals and sills and carbon fiber panels, and finish with a complete alteration of the interior with genuine leather with a classic diamond pattern.

The Germans did not get excited about the revision of the engines. For versions S 400d and S 500 4Matic, only the installation of a proprietary Brabus PowerXtra motor control unit is offered. In the first case, the 3.0 biturbo diesel will increase the output to 370 hp. and 750 Nm (it was 330 and 700), which will reduce the acceleration time to hundreds for the sedan from 5.4 to 5.2 s. The “Eski” with a gasoline twin-aspirated engine has a more noticeable increase in recoil: instead of the initial 435 forces and 520 Nm, it will be 500 and 590, respectively. However, the spurt to 100 km / h will take the same two tenths of a second less – 4.7 versus 4.9 s. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h.
