Swedish small-run hypercar maker Koenigsegg has revealed the first image of the new coupe.

It is not yet known what kind of hypercar from Koenigsegg it will be, but Motor1 suggests that the brand will release some special version of one of the current models this year, which will be dedicated to its very first hypercar.

Koenigsegg called the upcoming new product in an official announcement “a challenge for the new year”, which should provide “higher performance through thoughtful engineering and optimized design.” No other information has yet been released.

The experts of the publication found in the silhouette of the future hypercar, depicted in the teaser, features of other models of the Koenigsegg brand: for example, CCX, CCR and Agera. At the same time, this year the company will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launch of its first serial supercar. Built from aluminum, carbon fiber reinforced plastics and Kevlar, the CC8S coupe was powered by a 664-horsepower version of Ford’s 4.7-liter V8 engine. The supercar accelerated to 100 km / h in less than 3.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 390 km / h. In total, Koenigsegg has built only 6 of these machines.
