Bugatti has recalled the Chiron Pur Sport supercar due to some tire defects.
Several examples of the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport in the US have been recalled to investigate a possible rear tire malfunction that could cause cracking. According to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nine Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport vehicles have been recalled to check for a potential malfunction. While this number may seem small, keep in mind that this is a super expensive supercar with a fairly exclusive customer base.
The malfunction itself is rare, and according to NHTSA, Bugatti’s rear tires sometimes crack after almost 4,000 kilometers. In the worst case, this can cause a drop in air pressure, and for a performance car like the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, it can lead to disaster at high speeds. It is also important to say here that so far not a single similar incident or accident has been registered, but the recall itself was necessary after users noticed cracks on the tires.
