A fire broke out at a gas station in the US state of Pennsylvania, during which a rare 2020 McLaren 765LT completely burned out. The $ 560,000 supercar has become a heap of metal.

According to one of the versions, a spark caused by static electricity became the cause of the fire. Also, experts are considering the option of getting fuel on the hot elements of the exhaust system, which is located quite high in the McLaren 765LT. The supercar caught fire in a matter of seconds, as a result of which the employees of the gas station had to urgently call the firefighters.

Three fire brigades from nearby cities arrived at the scene of the incident. By that time, the fire had spread from the supercar to the gas station. As a result of concerted action, rescuers managed to stop the spread of the flame, but McLaren has already burned out to the ground. The only identifiable coupe worth $ 560,000 was the exhaust system and some deformed front parts.

McLaren 765LT debuted in 2020. All 765 supercars, which became a more powerful and lighter version of the 720S, sold out before sales began. The carbon coupe was equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 turbo engine, the output of which was 765 horsepower and 800 Nm. Together with the unit, a seven-band “robot” with two clutches was installed. The supercar accelerates to “hundreds” in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 330 kilometers per hour.
