Chinese brand BYD and Mercedes-Benz introduced a ready-to-series new product, under the brand Denza: large crossover Denza X 587-strong hybrid setup. In fact, this is the BYD Tang second generation, the design of which is thoroughly worked the German side. To dispel all doubts, on the body of the car even has a label “Styled by Mercedes-Benz” (“design from Mercedes-Benz”).

Dimensions Denza X are the same as the BYD Tang: a length of crossover reaches 4890 mm, width – 1950 mm, height – 1725 millimeters, and the wheelbase is 2820 mm. Despite the fact that Tang and X similar shapes and lines of glass, all body panels were re-created. Behind a led strip that connects the lights, at the front, narrow led headlights, like the eponymous concept car presented in the summer.

For the design of the cabin also said the experts from Mercedes-Benz: the Central place is a tablet, with which the control of vehicle functions and entertainment system. Screen position can be changed from horizontal to vertical, and its diagonal is an impressive 15.6 inches.

Denza X hybrid plant, composed of two electric motors and a turbo engine volume 2.0 liters, the total output of which reaches up to 587 horsepower. The transmission is a double clutch six-speed “robot”. In addition, the claimed and 245-horsepower all-electric version with a power reserve of 500 km on the NEDC cycle.

The premiere of the production model will be at the auto show in Guangzhou next week, while sales in the Chinese market will start in 2020.
