The Chinese company BYD has announced a promising electric sedan Ocean X on the latest platform e – Platform 3.0. According to cnevpost.com, the model will be slightly smaller than the flagship Han.
The e – Platform 3.0 architecture, which the company is very proud of, can potentially provide up to 1,000 kilometers of mileage. Unfortunately, the range has not yet been announced for the new concept, but it is possible that it could be more than 500 km.
But other characteristics are known. The electric motor produces 367 horsepower, and the acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour is a fantastic 2.9 seconds. At the same time, the car supports fast charging technology, which allows you to charge the car for 150 kilometers in 5 minutes. In this case, the battery is not afraid of frosts down to -30 and heat up to +60 degrees Celsius.
All systems run on the original BYD OS, which, among other things, can provide the latest level of autonomous driving capabilities.
No timeframe for the release of the new item has been named. In the meantime, the firstborn of the e – Platform 3.0 is the Dolphin electric hatchback, which debuted on the market on August 29 at a price of 93,800 yuan ($ 14,500).
Interestingly, in August it was BYD that sold the largest number of electrified cars on the Chinese market, surpassing Wuling by several hundred units (44,264 cars versus 43,783).
