At a conference chaired by President Vladimir Zelensky, a decision was made to negotiate with owners and managers of gas stations to reduce fuel prices, the press service of the President’s Office.
“The meeting decided to hold talks with the owners and managers of gas stations to reduce fuel prices”, – stated in the message. In the press service of President’s Office said that the prices “the last time rose by a few hryvnia.” Note that in fact in the last week prices fell by 1.75 UAH/liter.
As previously reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine said about the existing, it is estimated that the potential reduction in retail prices of gasoline by 3-5 UAH/liter.
We will remind, the decline in retail prices began March 20. Since that time the price of diesel and petrol has fallen more than 1,75 UAH/liter.
Also earlier it was reported that the volume of retail sales of fuel at filling stations in the first week of quarantine in Ukraine decreased by 15-20%, according to estimates by the largest operators. In April, the reduction can reach 40-50%. According to experts of “Consulting group A-95”, it will have a strong influence on pricing, as sales decline the operating costs of filling stations has grown in connection with the quarantine.
Thus, according to the experts of “Consulting group A-95”, the potential to reduce retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel remains, but is significantly limited in terms of 30-40% reduction in sales volumes.
