Canadian firm Inkas Armored has developed an armored version of the Chevrolet Suburban family SUV. Thanks to the protection that does not stand out at first glance, the modified car can go even to the supermarket without attracting too much attention.

Chevrolet Suburban was equipped with CEN 1063 BR 6 class armor along the entire perimeter. Such protection will withstand shelling from a Kalashnikov assault rifle with 7.62 caliber bullets, as well as the detonation of two hand grenades. In addition, the SUV was equipped with ballistic windows, reinforced suspension, as well as heavy-duty door hinges and special tires that can be used even in a deflated state.

Among the additional protective equipment, Suburban received a speakerphone function, as well as reinforced brakes and a fire extinguishing system. Such modifications make it possible to operate a family SUV in a metropolis and during country trips. And thanks to the unique design of protection, the armor of the car does not interfere with the accommodation of passengers, and also does not strike the eye.

In addition, at the request of the customer, Canadian specialists can equip the Chevrolet Suburban with lightweight body armor. Such armor will reduce the overall weight of the SUV, making it more maneuverable.

Although it is definitely an unfinished replica, I would be interested in contact details, anyway. Maybe this could be an interesting project.
