speedme.ru writes, based on a snapshot from Motorgraph magazine, that the Hyundai logo was removed from the Hyundai Motor Group headquarters building in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. It is noted that he disappeared in mid-May this year. According to a Hyundai Motor Group spokesman, it was removed “to replace the old sign.”
Unlike the KIA brand, where the idea of replacing vector graphics and logo was brought up a few years ago, Hyundai has done little to change the brand and corporate image. However, this situation may change. Hyundai Motor Company applied for a new trademark for the achromatic logo on December 30 last year, according to the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
It is likely that the updated Hyundai logo will use vector graphics. Since various brands such as Genesis, the high-performance N, Ioniq for electric cars and HTWO (H2) for hydrogen cars were launched one after the other, it was likely a decision was made to strengthen the brand identity of the Hyundai Motor Group.
