Hyundai plans to show “charged” modification of its compact crossover in 2020, and the first test mules already spotted during test runs on the iconic track Nurburgring.
Korean brand will revive its own division of N Performance next year, and future i20 N will also join a new crossover version of Kona.
Despite the substantial similarity standard with Kona, the new product has some characteristic features, which allude to the fact that it is not a simple model. For example, the concept has alloy wheels in the style of N that hide larger brakes with red calipers, air intake under the front grille, and a basic exhaust system. The car has also been lowered.
While information about the technical characteristics is not, however, assume that Kona will receive power, which is similar to i20 N. So, the “charged” version can be equipped with 4-cylinder petrol turbo engine of 1.6 liters, the performance is over 200 HP, which will be paired with 6-speed manual transmission.
Individual configuration of the chassis complements the increase in performance due to the stiffer suspension and installed brake. The interior will also be done in the style of N-models, i.e., in salon there will be sports seats, special trim and custom riding modes.
