The Chinese company, Beijing Auto has released an updated version of the SUV BJ80, which has been called a clone of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The first photos of the upgraded car published edition Autohome.
The main technical innovation was the emergence of a three-liter V6 gasoline engine with supercharging, which became an alternative to the 2.3-liter “Quartet” of Saab. The six-cylinder unit develops 280 HP and 420 N·m of torque.
The engine works together with the eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system with low range and locking center and rear differential. Electronic transmission control provides four different algorithm to drive in economy mode, comfort, sport and snow.
The ground clearance reduced by 20 mm. In addition, in the lounge there is a fully configurable digital instrument panel. Besides the basic information, it is possible to display the tooltip Navigator, the system data about the pressure in the tires and other details.
Previously, Beijing Auto has released a copy of the six-wheel SUV Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 based on the model BJ80. The novelty has received name BJ80 6×6. The SUV is equipped with a 2.3-liter petrol “turboservice” Saab, which produces 250 HP and 350 N·m of torque. Drivetrain – six-speed “mechanics” or “automatic” of the same range.
