In China, sales of the GAC Trumpchi GS4 Plus crossover will begin in the third quarter of this year.
The mid-size GAC Trumpchi GS5 crossover debuted three years ago. In doing so, the GAC has upgraded the model. It turned out to be not very significant, but after it the crossover, so to speak, was “downgraded”: now it is the GAC Trumpchi GS4 Plus, that is, formally – an “increased” modification of the more modern GS4 model.
The appearance of the new crossover has changed, and now it is offered in two versions with different design of the radiator grille. As conceived by the developers, these drawings represent two different positions of the eagle’s wings. The crossover taillights are no longer connected by a luminous jumper, although this solution is still in vogue in the Chinese market. With the new bumpers, the length of the GAC Trumpchi GS4 Plus crossover has increased by 15 mm (up to 4710 mm), while the width (1885 mm) and height (1726 mm) remain the same. The wheelbase of the model is 2710 mm.
There are not many changes in the interior of the crossover either. The transmission selector was changed, new buttons were added on the steering wheel, the design of virtual instruments was revised, and it was also possible to order two-tone upholstery. It is also the first model of the GAC brand with the new generation of media system ADiGO 4.0, which has enhanced online capabilities.

It is known that with the “reduction” of the index, the GAC Trumpchi GS4 Plus crossover received a more powerful engine. The new crossover is offered with a 2.0 turbo unit (252 hp), which is familiar from the large SUV – GS8. Although the old turbo four 1.5 (169 hp) also remained in the model lineup. Both engines are paired with a classic Aisin 6-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. In China, sales of the GAC Trumpchi GS4 Plus crossovers will begin in the third quarter of 2021.
