The second model of the new Great Wall sub-brand, the Tank, was unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show later this summer. Then the company decided not to disclose all its technical characteristics, and even more so there was no talk of prices. The day before, the Chinese media shed light on both the first and second points.
If during the premiere for the Tank 500 only a 3-liter V6 petrol engine with the 6Z30 code was announced, producing 354 horsepower and 500 Nm, now the 2-liter i4 turbo engine is being tipped as an alternative. But unlike the “older” unit, the bundle will not be a 9-band “automatic”, but an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Recall that the “Tank 500” is 4878 mm long, 1934 mm wide, 1905 mm high, which is roughly comparable to the frame Japanese Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV.
The stated ground clearance is 224 mm. The approach angle is 29.6 degrees, the exit angle is 24 degrees, and the ford depth is 800 mm. The drive is full with an electromagnetic clutch for connecting the front axle, but there is a demultiplier, as well as a rear cross-axle differential lock. Front locking will be offered as an option.
As for the prices, according to the sources, they will range from 47,700 to 49,200 dollars.
For comparison, in Ukraine for the “Prado” is now asked from $ 46,500, depending on the version.
