The Xpeng G3 electric hatchback has undergone the first restyling in its three-year career. The rethought model is called the Xpeng G3i and is distinguished primarily by the new design of the X Robot Face front end: with a narrow strip of running lights and “triangular” headlights on diodes that can “dance” to the music. For the first time, the model has a two-tone paint job with a white roof, and three new shades have been added to the body palette – red, blue and light green.
The five-door is still equipped with an electric motor of 145 kW (197 hp, 300 N • m) and travels without recharging 460 or 520 km (NEDC). Dimensions have not changed either: 4450 × 1820 × 1610 mm, wheelbase – 2625. Acceleration to 100 km / h in 8.6 s remains in effect, as does the maximum speed of 170 km / h.
At the stern, only the bumper with reflectors and the nameplate on the tailgate have changed, but all the door handles are now retractable. The G3i also boasts new Michelin Primacy 3 ST tires (215/50 R18).
Everything inside is the same, except that the trim can now combine white and blue shades. The Xmart OS has been updated to version 2.0 (sort of “over the air”) and offers 55 new features, mainly related to voice assistants and commands.

Although the Xpeng P5 sedan is equipped with an XPilot 3.5 autopilot, the self-control of the G3i hatchback remains at 2.5. However, the engineers removed the “box” of sensors from the roof, which spoiled the appearance, but still placed five cameras, three radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Now the five-door is automatically rebuilt and parked. There are even more collision avoidance systems. The start of sales is scheduled for July 9th, so there are no prices. The pre-reform Xpeng G3 costs 149,800-162,800 yuan ($ 23,100-25,100). For five months of 2021, 9407 units were sold in China, while 10,000 units per month are considered a worthy result.
