The subsidiary of the Chinese company Xpeng – HT Aero – intends to release a new electric car that will be able not only to drive, but also to fly through the air. Serial production of the novelty, while presented only in the form of a prototype, should start in 2024.
It is too early to draw conclusions about the appearance of the future air car from the HT Aero brand (it may still change on the way to the production conveyor), but there are already some details about it. Thus, it is known that the novelty will receive a lightweight design, several security technologies at once and folding screws that automatically hide in the body when the “ground” mode is activated.
Technical characteristics and dynamics of acceleration of the car on the ground and in the air have not yet been reported. For example, another Chinese aeromobile, called the Pegasus, can accelerate to 160 km / h in the air and 120 km / h on the ground, as well as take off entirely vertically without a runway.
The cost of the future novelty from HT Aero can only be guessed at, but, most likely, it will cost about the same as the aforementioned Pegasus air car – from 330 to 400 thousand dollars.
