Ferrari has unveiled the impressive Daytona SP3 supercar. The track model will go into production in 2022 and will be dedicated to the anniversary of victory in the famous “24 Hours of Daytona” race in 1967 – then the red stallions took the first three places at the finish line. It will be released in a limited edition of 599 cars worth 2 million euros, according to the official website of Ferrari.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is inspired by the 330 P4 that triumphed 55 years ago. The mid-engined coupe has a similar silhouette with convex fenders and a forward-shifted interior, as well as characteristic “gills” at the rear. The roof panels are removable and the doors open up.

At the same time, great attention was paid to the aerodynamics of the car. Interesting solutions include special retractable headlight shields and channels under the bottom, through which air flows.

Almost all body panels are carbon fiber, the same material, along with Alcantara, prevails in the interior trim. The seats are in the spirit of the Ferrari 330 P4, but the dashboard is modern, digital.

The new Ferrari Daytona SP3 is powered by a 6.5-liter high-revving V12 from the 812 Competizione coupe. He develops 840 hp. with. at 9250 rpm, and its torque reaches 697 Nm at 7250 rpm.

With a 7-speed gearbox with two clutches, acceleration to 100 km / h takes only 2.85 seconds, and to 200 km / h in 7.4 seconds. The maximum speed exceeds 340 km / h.

In the lineup of the Italian brand there are models that are faster, but light (1485 kg) Daytona SP3 is the most extreme Ferrari supercar. The track model focused on handling. Among the interesting details is the skid control system.
