According to some experts, modern cars should be equipped with a large number of giant screens. This is one of the key features of the proposed Digital Cockpit 2021 concept.
The future is just around the corner when motorists will begin to compete not in power, economy or more expressive design, but in the number of screens in the cabin. This trend has already been outlined: let’s recall the recent show cars, where the entire front panel is often reserved for screens. The Cadillac Lyriq electric crossover, for example, boasted a 33-inch touchscreen. And the other day Mercedes-Benz presented a 56-inch OLED car touch screen.
Samsung went even further by offering a futuristic Digital Cockpit 2021 project by today’s standards. The big screen itself is quite real today, but its functionality raises a number of questions. So far, it looks very difficult and expensive, and there are more questions than answers in terms of security.
So what did the Koreans suggest? The core of the concept is four main displays: a large QLED screen on the dashboard, a slightly smaller OLED display on the Central tunnel, a giant screen for rear passengers and a separate screen for pedestrians.
The headrests of the seats have built-in stereo speakers-part of the game mode.
Even the steering wheel was equipped with a screen. All electronics can interact with your smartphone. There’s also 5G, popular driver assistants, and autopilot.
The new concept is based on an advanced platform that can support six screens and 12 cameras at once.
