Sports two-door Alpine A110 Legende GT a year ago quickly sold in Europe in a circulation of 400 units, although prices started from 69,300 euros. The second edition, revised and enlarged, is limited to 300 copies and requires 71,600 euros in France. Reception of orders is open.
The creators of the two-door speak of elegance, technical sophistication and the “spirit of Grand Tourisme”. The exterior color of Mercury Silver has become matte gray, so it is considered new. The palette ends with Abyss Blue as Deep Black is gone.
The power of the 1.8 petrol turbo four has increased from 252 forces, standard for the A110, to the level of the A110S – 292 HP, 320 Nm. The motor, as before, is assisted by a seven-speed “robot” with two clutches with rear wheel drive. An increase of 40 forces accelerated the exchange of a hundred to 4.4 s (-0.1), as in the A110S. The maximum speed is electronically limited – 250 km / h.
The semi-transparent LED lights are still there, and the sports exhaust system is taken from the A110S. “Diamond” wheels Grand Prix (215/40 R18) – really new, as well as “gold” brake calipers. The curb weight of the coupe is 1134 kg. Consumption: 6.8-7 l / 100 km (WLTP).
Sabelt Comfort bucket seats and door cards offer a choice between amber and black leather. Variety is made by gray or brown stitching, carbon fiber and copper inserts. There is a number plate on the lower “floor” of the center console.
Since May 1st, the premium brand Alpine, led by Laurent Rossi, has been bringing together all the sports and racing projects of the Renault Group (see A110 Rally), as required by the Renaulution strategy. RS (Renault Sport) nameplates are a thing of the past. Alpine will not be able to create its own sports cars from scratch, so it will “charge” the renowned ones, for example, the Renault 5 hatchback. In 2020, the Alpine brand sold only 423 cars (+ 15.3%), but this is just the beginning.
