The Cupra brand which is specialized in the production of “charged” models of SEAT, showed his first independent model: crossover Formentor. The novelty has received minimal external differences from last year’s concept, and named it in honor of the most Northern Cape of the island of Mallorca.
From presented a year earlier prototype serial crossover can be distinguished by the design of the stern – at Formentor other taillights and a new diffuser. The dimensions of the model is close to Volkswagen Tiguan: both cars are the same wheelbase is 2,680 mm, and a width of 1839 mm. This two-liter turbo engine, 310 horsepower, which is combined with “robot” DSG and all-wheel drive system 4Drive with a clutch on the rear axle, as well as a hybrid setup, which includes a 150-HP 1.4 TSI and 115-horsepower electric motor. The hybrid version has a charging function and is able to pass on the same electricity up to 50 km on the WLTP cycle. For plug-in-hybrid is available only with front drive.
