The new Tata Punch cross-hatch will go on sale in India on October 20. Today, Tata Motors has fully revealed the face of the subcompact and provided the main specifications. The only engine was a petrol “troika” 1.2 Revotron (86 hp, 113 Nm) with a five-speed “mechanics” and made of it “robot” AMT. Acceleration from 0-60 km / h takes 6.5 seconds, spurt from 0-100 km / h takes 16.5. The maximum speed is not named. There are two driving modes: City and Eco. The salon accommodates five people. Trunk volume – 366 liters.
Tata’s design studios in India, the UK and Italy are collectively responsible for the Impact 2.0 look. The body is painted in seven colors, including orange, red and bronze. Dimensions: 3827x1742x1615 mm, between axles – 2445, ground clearance – 187 mm, tires – 185/70 R15, 195/60 R16.
ALFA-Arc Platform stands for McPherson Props and Semi-Dependent Beam. There are disc brakes in the front, drum brakes in the back. Tata promises “all the key capabilities of a true SUV” and specifies the angle of entry (20.3 °), exit (37.6 °), ramp (22.2 °) and wading depth (370 mm).
One of the seven-inch displays hangs in the center, the other is built into the “semi-digital” tidy. Inlays on the front panel and door cards imitate granite. The seats are upholstered in “high quality fabric”. The average passenger on the couch has no headrest and is fastened with a lap belt.
“Absolute safety” is provided by high-strength steel in the body structure, two airbags, ABS, “child” Isofix mounts, a rear-view camera, fog lights, a reminder about unfastened passengers, a repair kit and an alarm. The multifunction steering wheel is not adjustable for reach, the driver’s seat is manually adjusted in height. The media center supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, network connections are satisfied with the iRA system, which updates software “over the air”. Punch’s expected prices range from Rs 550,000 to Rs 800,000 ($ 7,400- $ 10,700).
