Electric crossover Hyundai Kona Electric was in the Guinness Book of records in the category of “Greatest height reached by electric cars”. The vehicle climbed to an altitude of 5731 m pass Sawula in Tibet, beating the previous achievement in 5715,28 meters.
The crossover has gotten to a point in difficult conditions, including at low temperatures, incessant snow and ice. The battery of the electric vehicle along the way is recharged with a special portable device, a stock of batteries joined with a standard portable system that is included in the factory kit. Finally, the launch of the advanced electric vehicle is recharged on-Board system of regeneration of energy when braking.

Hyundai Kona Electric debuted in the spring of 2018, becoming the first production “green” SUV in the history of the South Korean automaker. The car is equipped with a single electric unit with a capacity of 135 horsepower.
The crossover is available with a battery set at 39.2 kWh and with a battery capacity of 64 kilowatt-hour. In the latter case, the car can travel without recharging 470 km (WLTP cycle).
