During the debut of the Chevrolet Silverado EV pickup at CES-2022, the automaker announced its other upcoming electric vehicles.
So, in the spring of 2023, the electric crossover Chevrolet Blazer EV will appear, although there are no images of it yet. And in the fall of the same year, a more compact SUV Chevrolet Equinox EV will be presented, and this model has already been shown in renderings.
As with the Chevrolet Silverado EV pickup, future electric crossovers will have nothing to do with the current gasoline variants of the Blazer and Equinox models. The electric cars will be based on the modular architecture of Ultium, and the mileage on a single charge will be about 400-480 km. The Chevrolet Equinox EV will even have a sporty RS version with more striking decor.
In the American sales ranking of Chevrolet models, the current gasoline Equinox ranks second after the Silverado pickup, although last year sales fell by almost 40% (to 165 thousand cars) due to a shortage of microchips and a decrease in production volumes. Still, Chevrolet plans to make the electric Equinox EV just as popular.
