Frame Toyota Land Cruiser 200 – decommissioned combat unit. Production at Japanese factories ceased back in March, and dealers around the world are selling off the leftovers. Moreover, judging by the photographs in the press from the Land of the Rising Sun, the production of a new generation of cars – Land Cruiser 300 – has already started. This is hinted at at the sites of the enterprise in Aichi Prefecture, packed with new SUVs. “Kruzak” has changed outwardly on all fronts, but the designers have made the image consistent. And also, as Japanese journalists write, the “300” has retained the frame structure of the body, rear continuous axle and permanent four-wheel drive with a lowering.

All external panels of the Land Cruiser 300 model are new, as well as lighting equipment, the design has become more angular, and the body is leaner, but the car has retained an impressive radiator grill and squinted LED headlights. Alloy wheels – 18 to 20 inches in diameter.

According to rumors, the list of equipment will include an analog instrument panel with a seven-inch display between the dials, a multimedia system with a 12.3-inch central touchscreen and navigation. Plus technology for automatic braking, monitoring of blind spots and keeping in a lane, as well as adaptive cruise control.

But the line of engines will be fundamentally reformatted. Were there only V8 engines? Now there will be exclusively V-shaped six-cylinder. Presumably, we are talking about a 3.3 turbodiesel and a 3.5 twin-aspirated gasoline unit. The return of the first will be 308 hp. and 687 Nm, and the second – 420 and 589, respectively. A hybrid version is also planned, which will hit the market in a couple of years, and a hard off-road modification of the GR-S, modified by the Toyota Gazoo Racing division. And the debut of the 300th Land Cruiser without electric attachments will take place in the coming months. Such vehicles will optionally receive a security complex with a second level autopilot.
